Core Player Action

Resolve a situation using payment, reputation, intimidation, leverage, or betrayal.

Core Loop

  1. Enter a social conflict or negotiation opportunity.
  2. Assess involved factions, risks, leverage, and possible outcomes.
  3. Choose a strategy: bribe, threaten, lie, trade, expose, protect, betray, or mediate.
  4. Resolve the situation peacefully or trigger escalation.
  5. Receive rewards, information, access, reputation changes, or new enemies.

Examples

  • Negotiate safe passage through gang territory.
  • Bribe a checkpoint officer.
  • Convince a ripperdoc to treat a wanted player.
  • Broker a temporary ceasefire.
  • Intimidate a debtor.
  • Arrange a prisoner exchange.

Encounter Length

3–10 minutes.
