2. Extraction / Loot Recovery Loop

Core Fantasy

Players enter dangerous districts, fight NPCs or players, grab valuable goods, then escape before they are hunted.

Trigger

A player discovers or accepts a job involving loot, data, black-market cargo, cyberware, prototype weapons, or faction supplies.

Core Loop

  1. Find an opportunity.
  2. Travel to the target zone.
  3. Fight, sneak, hack, or negotiate entry.
  4. Acquire loot or an objective item.
  5. Alarm level rises.
  6. Other players, NPC hunters, drones, or gangs are alerted.
  7. The squad must extract to a safehouse, vehicle, sewer route, rooftop pad, or faction checkpoint.
  8. Rewards are secured only after extraction.

Encounter Length

  • 10–20 minutes

Why It Works

This creates tension without needing battle royale-style shrinking zones. The city itself becomes the danger source.

PvP / PvE Balance

PvE provides baseline opposition. PvP becomes optional but tempting because players carrying loot are valuable targets.

  • Corporate server-room data theft
  • Gang drug lab robbery
  • Armored courier interception
  • Illegal weapons shipment
  • Contaminated biotech sample recovery
